One Of Injured In Plane Fire At Moscow Airport In Serious Condition - Medics

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th May, 2019) One of the injured in plane fire at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport is in serious condition, Sergey Petrikov, the head of Sklifosovsky Clinical and Research Institute for Emergency Medicine in the Russian capital, told journalists.

"[The woman] was put on artificial ventilation. She received burns," he stated.

The tragedy at Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport took place earlier on Sunday. The SSJ100, which was performing a flight from Moscow to Murmansk, had to make an emergency landing earlier in the day at the airport due to the fire on board, which ultimately burnt down the aircraft.

At least 13 people died, including two children, and many others were injured, some severely, in the tragedy. The Russia's Investigative Committee is investigating the incident.
