MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 05th May, 2019) Russia denounces an unprecedented campaign by the United States aiming to overthrow the legitimate Venezuelan leadership, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Sunday at a meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Jorge Arreaza.
"You are aware about our principled, consistent, firm support for the legitimate government of Venezuela, headed by President Maduro. We now see an unprecedented campaign, led by the United States, to overthrow the legitimate authorities of Venezuela. We condemn this campaign for violating the principles of international law," Lavrov said.
