Rawalpindi (Pakistan Point News / Online - 03rd May, 2019) As many as 1800 educators have voiced strong protest over suspension of payment of salary to them by education department due to non renewal of their contract and regularization of service.According to media reports, Teacher unions have demanded of CM Punjab to regularize the teachers and release their salaries. More than 1800 educators were appointed on 5 years contract in middle and High schools of district Rawalpindi in April 2014.
Provincial Government had announced to regularize the contract teachers but district education authority could not complete their record till yet therefore neither they have taken steps to regularize teachers nor have their contract renewed. . District account office has stopped payment of salaries tro them directing them to bring their new contract after that their salaries will be released.Teachers unions have demanded of provincial government that, the orders on implementation of the decision for the regularization of service be issued so that salary could be released to the teachers appointed in 2014 .
