The Qatar-2022 FIFA World Cup organizing committee has signed a cooperation agreement with Spanish police to share expertise in ensuring security during major sporting events, the committee told Sputnik on Thursday

DOHA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 02nd May, 2019) The Qatar-2022 FIFA World Cup organizing committee has signed a cooperation agreement with Spanish police to share expertise in ensuring security during major sporting events, the committee told Sputnik on Thursday.

"The purpose of this deal is to share and increase the expertise of the security forces in order to further use it in the upcoming championship, which will be held in Qatar in 2022," the committee said.

Under the signed agreement, Qatari police will be able to travel to Spain and Spanish police will be able to come to Qatar to exchange recent and relevant expertise and special skills.

Qatar will host the next World Cup from November 21-December 18, 2022, at seven venues across the country.
