UAE, Jordan conclude joint government services training programme

The second edition of a training programme, which aimed to develop the services of Jordanian government authorities, concluded today in Amman

AMMAN, (Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2019) The second edition of a training programme, which aimed to develop the services of Jordanian government authorities, concluded today in Amman.

The programme included specialist sessions and interactive workshops that aimed to improve the customer service skills of government employees, according to the standards of the "Emirates Government Services Excellence Programme"

The programme, which is part of the strategic partnership between the UAE and Jordan, involved 40 employees of 20 Jordanian ministries and authorities.

Majd Mohammad Shweikeh, Jordanian Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, who manages organisational performance and related policies in Jordan, praised the strategic partnership between the two counties, as per the directives of their leadership. She also highlighted the programme’s importance of improving the customer service skills of government employees who communicate directly with the public.

Mohamed bin Taliah, Assistant Director-General for Government Services Sector at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future, stated that modernising government work requires intensive courses to develop the capacities of public employees.

Many qualified Emiratis participated in the programme as trainers after being accredited by the UAE government, including Major Saeed Al Dhahouri from the Ministry of Interior, Nahed Al Qassimi from the Ministry of Health, Hamad Al Sheikh from the Ministry of Community Development, and Rafeea Al Hammadi from the National Media Council, NMC.

The five-day programme included instructions on how to provide excellent customer service and discussed the role of customer services centres.
