Police Detain 2 Main Suspects In Easter Deadly Bombings In Sri Lanka - Reports

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th April, 2019) Sri Lankan police have arrested two main suspects in the deadly bombings, which rocked the country last Sunday, local media reported, citing police.

The suspects, identified as Mohamed Saadik Abdul Haq and Mohamed Saahid Abdul Haq, have been arrested near the town of Nawalapitya in central Sri Lanka, the Ada Derana news outlet specified.

They have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Sri Lankan Police.

A series of blasts that hit Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday left hundreds of people killed and injured. The Islamic State (IS, a terror group banned in Russia) has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attacks.
