Peshawar (Pakistan Point News / Online - 26th April, 2019) 6117 people have been martyred during Floods, earthquakes and other natural calamities all over the country including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.Floods, earthquake and other natural calamities took 6117 lives all over the country including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to National disaster plan 2019 report issued by NDMA 6117 people lost their lives,11 thousand and 42 people sustained injuries while 12 lac 90 thousand and 74 houses were destroyed in floods, earthquake and other natural mishaps during 2007-17.
443 people died due to cyclone in 2007. 71486 houses were destroyed. 80 people were martyred during 2008 flood, 21 got injuries while 17172 houses were destroyed . 164 people died due to earthquake in 2008 in Ziarat while 9761 houses damaged. In 2010 1985 people lost their lives. 2946 people sustained injuries and 1602765 houses were damaged during flood. In 2011 flood 520 people died, 1604404 houses damaged.571 people died during 2012 flood and 2902 people were injured while 636438 houses damaged.
in 2014 49 people died and 267 got injured in different natural misshapes in KPK. In 2014 flood 367 people died while 673 people injured and 107102 houses damaged. In 2015 earthquake took 272 people lives and 856 people sustained injured. In 2015 238 people died and 232 people injured while 10716 houses damaged during floods.In year 2016 271 people died while 279 were injured and 2929 housed damage during raining. In 2016 153 people died 113 people got major injuries while in 2017 floods 271 people died,359 injured and 996 houses damaged.
