PPP MNAs demand apology from PM for calling Bilawal Sahiba

PPP MNAs have demanded of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to come in National Assembly (NA) and tender apology for calling Bilawal Bhutto Zardari "Sahiba" during public meeting in Wana

ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / Online - 25th April, 2019) PPP MNAs have demanded of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan to come in National Assembly (NA) and tender apology for calling Bilawal Bhutto Zardari "Sahiba" during public meeting in Wana.The PPP MNAs said in NA that this is an insult to chairman of a larger political party of Pakistan as well as women folk of the country.PPP legislators besieged speaker dais while protesting and they tore up copies of agenda and tossed them in the air.

PPP MNA Nafeesa Shah said while speaking on a point of order in NA Thursday PM has insulted Bilawal Bhutto Zardari , chairman of the largest party of the country by calling him " Sahiba. This is not only insult to chairman of party but also an insult to all the women of the country including women members of NA.Imran Khan has come under criticism on social media and it is all before us, she said. PTI is describing it a slip of tongue. Upto what time the tongue of our PM will slip.

It seems as if slogan of New Pakistan is also problem of slip of tongue. PM should come to house and offer apology on this matter. If he does not come in the house and tender apology then the entire country will echo with the slogans of "go PM go", she warned.The opposition members while voicing protest said during question hours that replies to the questions regarding NAB are not coming.The opposition demanded that the head of the respective institution should be summoned in the house and he should be asked to explain the reason for not yielding replies.

Law Minister Farogh Nasim said " give me one chance I finally talk to NAB authorities and if NAB does not give reply then we will do what is the opinion of the parliament. I agree with opposition that all are answerable to parliament. We want to legislate in the interest of general public but opposition does not support us.Syed Naveed Qamar of PPP said " you should assure that there is any legal bill meant for public interest then PPP will side with you.

Law minister said PPP had not supported in Senate on the matter of increasing the number of judges in Islamabad High Court.Replying to a question during question hour Communication Minister Murad Saeed said toll plazas will be built after every 100 kilometers on major highways. Chikandra- Chitral highway has been made part of CPEC western route. This road will be built according to world standard.To a question from Sher Akbar Khan MNA, the ministry of communication told the house that Islamabad Metro Bus Project will be completed till June 2019.Election Act -2017 amendment bill was passed in NA despite strong protest by the opposition.
