Tehran (Pakistan Point News / Online - 22nd April, 2019) Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan will not allow anyone to use its land against Iran at any cost adding terrorists are common enemy of both countries.He said we will move forward along with Iran for the establishment of peace in the region and for elimination of terrorism.Terrorism has widened distance and differences between both countries and I have come to Iran to end these differences, Khan said.
Earlier PM Imran Khan held one on one meeting with Iranian President.Both leaders discussed strengthening of bilateral ties, Pak Iran Border, security situation, Quetta Attack, Afghanistan and Kashmir dispute and overall regional security situation.After one on one meeting, PM Imran Khan and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also addressed a joint press conference.PM said that he is thankful upon the invitation of Iran's visit and also thanked for his warm welcome in Iran.
PM said that we want to upgrade poor segments of society in our New Pakistan.I have witnessed equality in Iranian society more and I had visited Iran during my student life.He said differences have been created between both countries due to terrorism.But now the distances between both countries should be narrowed , he urged.He said people of Pakistan and armed forces fought war against terrorism.Peace could not be established in Afghanistan despite NATO and military prowess and we will not allow anyone to use our land against anyone and also want that no damage should be made to Pakistan from Iranian soil too.
Afghan war affected Pakistan and Iran both since the last four decades, Khan said.He said the purpose of visit of Iran is to bridge the distances between both countries. Peace in Afghanistan is in the interest of both Pakistan and Iran.PM said that Pakistan is the only country that has been affected more than any other country from terrorism..He said peace cannot be established without justice.The occupation of Israel upon Golan heights is illegal.
The announcement of Israel about Jerusalem is violation of international laws.He said Kashmiris are being suppressed by dint of force adding if Kashmir dispute is resolved then our region will make progress.Kashmir dispute will be resolved through dialogue not through violence , he said adding Afghan war affected Iran and Pakistan.PM Imran Khan reached Saad Abad Palace during his two-day official visit to Iran.Iranian President Hassan Rouhani warmly welcomed him.
National Anthems of both countries were played on arrival of PM Imran while he was also presented with guard of honor.Iranian president Hassan Rouhani said that joint rapid reaction force will be established against terrorism.He said both countries are bound in cultural, religious ties . He thanked PM Imran Khan and his delegation for their arrival at Tehran.He said we hold the relations between both countries in high esteem.He said security co-operation and trade ties between Pakistan and Iran will be strengthened further.
Iran will fulfill oil and gas requirements of Pakistan and all possible measures will be taken in connection with Pak-Iran gas pipeline.He said Iran is also ready to provide electricity to Pakistan and they want to foster commercial activities between both countries.We will have to boost bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran due to prevailing regional situation.Both leaders also discussed other regional issues including Afghanistan, Golan hills and Pasdaran Inqilab guards, linkage between Chah Bahar and Gwadar, Tehran Istanbul and Islamabad Railway line and better relations between Pakistan, Iran and Turkey.
