MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st April, 2019) The deterioration of the quality of Russian oil, delivered to Belarus via Druzhba pipeline, is technical in its nature and does not relate to the relations between the two countries in oil and gas field in mid and long term, the Russian Energy Ministry said on Sunday.
Belarusian concern Belneftekhim on Friday reported that over the past few days, the quality of the Russian Urals export blend, which has been fed in transit to the Gomeltransneft Druzhba oil trunk pipeline section, had deteriorated sharply.
"In light of numerous media reports about the deterioration of the Russian oil that is being delivered in the western direction, the Russian Energy Ministry notes that the problem is technical in its nature and does not relate to issues that are being discussed with Belarusian partners in terms of relations in the oil and gas field in mid and long term," the ministry said.
�The ministry added that the situation with oil deliveries to Belarus remained under permanent monitoring of the Russian Energy Ministry and the country's Transneft company.
According to the ministry, the situation with oil deliveries is improving due to the use of alternative delivery routes and is expected to fully normalize in the near future.
