Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 21st April, 2019) Pakistan Railway administration has retrieved its 801.13 acres land from occupiers as the total value of this costly land was Rs 15.760 billion. During the past five years 2437 cases had been registered against occupiers in which 659 people were arrested. Moreover, 151 cases related to Pakistan Railway land were still pending in different courts.According to the available documents, 330 operations had been conducted against land grabbers and during these operations administration has retrieved its 801.

It mentioned in available documents that during the period of 2014 to 2018 administration had retrieved 230.8 hectares commercial, 164.1 hectares residential and 5.38.7 hectares agriculture land.The total value of this land was 15.760 billion. Number of operations' had been conducted in 2018. On the other hand 583 cases were registered against land grabbers in 2015, in which 350 cases decided on punishment and 659 people arrested.Total 413 cases were registered in 2016, in which 494 people those who unlawfully occupied land had been arrested and 218 cases were still pending in different courts. Total 499 cases had been registered in 2018. 222 cases had been ended on punishment and 229 cases were still pending in different courts.
