Seven People Killed, 30 Injured In Bus Accident In Northern India - Police

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 21st April, 2019) At least seven people were killed, while 30 others were injured on Sunday as a result of a collision of a bus and a truck in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, local media reported, citing police.

"The accident took place on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway [highway] while the bus, en route to Varanasi from New Delhi, tried to overtake and collided head-on with the truck coming from the opposite direction," Rakesh Pandey, local police representative, said as quoted by the NDTV broadcaster.

The police representative added that a bus driver was among those, who were killed in the accident. Those injured were taken to a hospital.
