Employees of federal courts complex have protested over not granting them special allowance and announced to observe strike on April 29

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 19th April, 2019) Employees of Federal courts complex have protested over not granting them special allowance and announced to observe strike on April 29.National Judicial policy making committee constituted under chief justice of Pakistan in 2007 had decided to give special judicial allowance and utility allowance to the judges and court employees across the country but instead of taking measures for that, employees of all special courts, Anti-terrorism courts, special courts central, Anti-Narcotics courts, complaint Appellate tribunal in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad still stand deprived of this allowance since 2007.

Employees said that on Feb 19, 2014, LHC Rawalpindi bench had given judgment in their favor upon appeal 2147/2013.In the light of this verdict, ministry of law and finance ministry was approached but no notification could be issued after lapse of 5 years.All the employees are voicing their protest over not receiving their special allowance and they have decided to observe strike on April 29.
