Karachi (Pakistan Point News / Online - 15th April, 2019) NAB Karachi has recovered over Rs 30 billion includingrecoveries in shape of recovery of state land, which was returned to the effected people and concerned quarters .Since inception NAB Karachi received and disposed over 71,640 Complaints which is the largest. Completed 3489 CVs. Similarly 1528 inquiries and 887 investigationswere completed and 824 references were filed in Accountability Courts.
NAB Karachi has arrested 973 accused persons. This large number of arrests has put an impact and deterrence over the corrupt and has boosted the confidence of complainants.Current Regional Director General Brig (R) Farooq Naser Awan took over charge of Karachi bureau in October 2018. During his seven months in office , NAB Karachi has been making its disposal of cases with more vigor and competence.NAB Karachi holds public hearings to resolve the people's grievances on every last Thursday of each month.
