PML-N to challenge ‘unconstitutional’ step of government in courts

The opposition party also thinking on the option to resign from the public accounts committees of the National Assembly

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 13th April 2019) The PML-N has decided to resign from public accounts committees of National Assembly in an apparent act to halt the proceeding of the legislature.

The opposition party has also planned to approach the court against what it described the unconstitutional steps of the PTI government.

PML-N leaders Malik Ahmad Khan, Uzma Bokhar and lawyers of Sharif family have announced that PTI is spreading anarchy in the country. “I’m going to the courts against their [PTI] illegal acts. The appointments of special assistant to the prime minister on accountability Mirza Shehzad Akbar and chief minister of Punjab spokesperson Dr. Shahbaz Gill will be challenged,” said the former provincial minister.

To a question, he added, that Salman Shahbaz will justify himself in the court and that he (Malik Ahmed) will leave politics if the younger son of Shehbaz failed to do it.

The lawyers said the NAB was raiding Hamza and Sharif family houses without any reason and it was an act of harassment.
