President of Uzbekistan receives UAE delegation

The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has received Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, as part of the official visit of the Emirati government delegation to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, (Pakistan Point News - 12th Apr, 2019) The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has received Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, as part of the official visit of the Emirati government delegation to Uzbekistan.

The UAE delegation comprises Dr. Ahmad bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher education and Advanced Skills; Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence; Mariam Al Hammadi, Assistant Director-General for Government Performance and Excellence at the Prime Minister's Office at the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and The Future; and Mohammed Hareb Al Mehairbi, UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan.

The Uzbek President welcomed the UAE delegation and hailed the distinguished relations, cooperation and fruitful partnership between the two countries in various economic fields. He indicated that his last visit to the UAE represented an appropriate occasion to develop partnerships.

They also reviewed ways of advancing bilateral relations, and accelerating the exchange of expertise in various fields, with special emphasis on modernising government work.

Al Gergawi said that the UAE, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is adopting an approach based on boosting cooperation and international partnerships aimed at modernising and developing government work with the ultimate goal of ensuring social wellbeing.

Al Gergawi added that the meeting with the Uzbekistan President addressed the prospects of fostering their partnership in areas of modernising and developing government work in Uzbekistan.

The meeting also reviewed the UAE model in advancing government work to higher levels that focus on developing services, programmes, policies and building cadres in line with the country's approach and vision, the minister added.
