MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th April, 2019) The Canadian-made robot arm has finished battery replacement tasks on the exteriors of the US segment of the International Space Station (ISS), a space and rocket industry source told Sputnik on Friday.The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) announced in late March that one of the three new lithium ion batteries on the exteriors of the ISS was not charging properly.
"Yesterday, the non-functioning battery was replaced with two older batteries that had been used previously, using the manipulator," the source said.
The source added the faulty battery would be brought from the ISS by one of cargo spacecraft.
