Boyko's Party Supports Neither Poroshenko, Nor Zelenskiy Over Refusal To Talk To Donbas

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 12th April, 2019) The Ukrainian party Opposition Platform - For Life, headed by former presidential candidate Yuriy Boyko, is supporting neither incumbent President Petro Poroshenko, nor his opponent Volodymyr Zelenskiy as both of them are refusing to launch dialogue with the eastern Donbas region, chairman of the party's political council Viktor Medvedchuk said on Thursday.

"Our party said that it would support neither Poroshenko, nor Zelenskiy because none of them is going to talk to Donbas and establish peace. The remarks made by the team of Zelenskiy are just another phase of what was introduced by Poroshenko, Russophobia and anti-Russian hysteria," Medvedchuk told the Rossiya 1 broadcaster.

Zelenskiy and Poroshenko have qualified for the second round of the Ukrainian presidential election that will take place on April 21.

Boyko failed to qualify for the second round having got over 11 percent of votes, which allowed him to rank fourth, after Zelenskiy, Poroshenko and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
