ROME, (Pakistan Point News - 09th Apr, 2019) The contest of ideas for the design of the stage of the 'Al Forsan' Amphitheatre at the Expo 2020 site in Dubai gets underway, according to the Italian news Agency, ANSA.
The contest of the amphitheatre - capable of housing, for each event, up to 80 actors in front of 4,000 standing and 2,500 seated spectators - is open to architects, designers and stage designers.
The contest will arise in the public park of the Expo 2020 Dubai site in front of the Italy, India, Germany, the United States, Japan and Saudi Arabia pavilions, was launched by the Italian company, Invitalia.
Over the six months of the Expo, the amphitheatre will host hundreds of performances and shows for thousands of visitors and artists from around the globe, transposing into a prestigious work the theme of Expo 2020 Dubai, 'Connecting minds, Creating the Future', and upholding the Italian theme, 'Beauty connects people'.
"Italy will contribute with numerous events and artistic, musical and theatrical performances," ANSA said.
Invitalia, on behalf of the Commissioner General's Office for Italy at Expo 2020 Dubai, launched the contest. Prizes in money will be awarded to the first three ideas, ranked by an independent committee. Moreover, up to three special mentions may be granted - without entailing prizes or expense refunds - for design ideas distinguished by particularly innovative aspects or that incorporate special technically advanced elements.
