NAB summons Hamza Shahbaz on April 10

Hamza Shahbaz has been summoned in the case pertaining to owning assets beyond sources of income.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 8th April, 2019) The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has summoned Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz on April 10.

According to media reports, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader has been summoned in the case pertaining to owning assets beyond sources of income.

Hamza Shahbaz has been directed to appear before NAB on April 10 at 11am.

Earlier today, the Lahore High Court extended the Hamza Shahbaz’s interim bail.

A two-member bench of the LHC comprising Justice Malik Shehzad and Justice Waqas Rauf held the hearing of the case on Monday.

According to details, the court extended Hamza Shahbaz's pre-arrest bail till April 17 against surety bonds worth Rs 10 million.

The LHC has sought a detailed reply from NAB regarding his arrest warrants.

On Saturday, the LHC had restricted the NAB from arresting Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz following an application filed by him.

LHC Chief Justice Sardar Muhammad Shamim Khan had approved Hamza Shahbaz's protective bail.

The NAB team had arrived at the Model Town residence of PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to arrest his son and Opposition Leader in Punjab Assembly Hamza Shahbaz for involvement in money laundering on Friday and Saturday.

The NAB team claimed that they have arrest warrants against Hamza Shahbaz.

Hamza Shehbaz had however challenged NAB arrest warrants against him in the LHC.
