Lahore (Pakistan Point News – 7th April, 2019) The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has launched a crackdown against money changers in Lahore.
At least three money changers have been arrested.
According to details, the FIA is taking an action against the accused accumulating dollars. Hundreds of dollars have been recovered in the FIA crackdown.
Cases have been registered against the money changers found involved in accumulating dollars.
Further revelations are expected from the money changers during investigation.
The interior ministry has also confirmed the FIA operation against money changers.
The action is being taken in view of the depreciation of Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
According to a report, the value of rupees is falling continuously due to which the market has become unstable. People are buying a lot of Dollars, decreasing its trade in the market.
When PTI government was formed, Dollar was valued at Rs 123, but due to continuous decline, it has now reached to a record low.
