Pakpattan’s lady constable suspended over viral dance video

Lady constable Sana Tanveer’s video went viral in November, 2018 when she was deployed for the security of Baba Farid’s shrine.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 3rd April, 2019) A lady constable in Pakpattan landed herself in hot waters after her dance video went viral on social media.

The lady constable was dancing wearing her uniform in the video.

Lady constable Sana Tanveer’s video went viral in November, 2018 when she was deployed for the security of Baba Farid’s shrine.

Sana Tanveer was dancing wearing her uniform while on duty. Her fellow constable Ambreen had made the video.

The higher officials took notice of the video as it went viral on social media and launched an inquiry against the lady constable.

The inquiry continued for four months, following which she was suspended.

DPO Maria Mahmood said that violation of departmental discipline will not be tolerated in any case.

Earlier, an SHO of Pakpattan landed himself in hot waters after his TikTok video dancing with a model went viral.

The authorities took an action against SHO Arshad after the videos surfaced and launched an inquiry against him. When the matter came into the attention of Pakpattan DPO Maria Mehmood, she suspended him from duty.

Meanwhile, a female member of Airport Security Force (ASF) whose video dancing on a Bollywood number went viral on social media was suspended for two years.

The ASF staffer had uploaded her video where she was dancing on ‘Nakhra tera ni’ wearing her uniform.

Recently, Karachi police officers also uploaded videos doing actions on songs in the background. The police uniform and police van were also used in the video.

Just as the TikTok videos of the police officers went viral on social media, people had heavily criticised the police department.

Taking notice of the videos, senior officials of Sindh Police ordered an inquiry and had sought a report.
