MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 01st April, 2019) NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said Monday it would be inappropriate for him to comment on the Ukrainian presidential elections, as they were still ongoing.Comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy is leading with over 30.4 percent of the vote, while incumbent President Petro Poroshenko is second with 16.02 percent, the country's Central Election Commission said Monday, after 80.20 percent of the ballots cast in Sunday's vote were counted.
"The elections are ongoing, and therefore I think it will not be appropriate if I started to comment on the outcome of those elections," Stoltenberg told reporters.
A runoff is scheduled for April 21.
