Shakhbout City’s internal road project 59.90% complete: Musanada

ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2019) Abu Dhabi Public Services Company, Musanada, has announced the completion of 59.90 percent of the internal roads and infrastructure projects of 354 residential plots in Shakhbout City, in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi City Municipality and Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, at a total cost of AED295.7 million.

In a press statement, Musanada affirmed that that execution of these projects forms part of the company's efforts to achieve the vision of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan towards providing high quality infrastructure that meets the needs of individuals and the community at large, applying the best international standards, with the aim to improve the standard of living, and enhance the sustainable development. These projects receive the attention and close follow up of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the statement added.

Musanada indicated that the project involves the design and construction of infrastructure and roads to serve a total of 354 residential plots, including the essential infrastructure works; such as electricity, water and sewage lines, street light poles, storm water and Etisalat lines. Moreover, the implementation of a greenbelt around Shakhbout city and rehabilitation of Road No. 25.

The project scope includes construction of 9.5 kilometre roads, 16.4 kilometre sewage lines, 10.3 kilometre storm water drainage, 10.8 kilometre potable water lines, 7.4 kilometre communications lines, 1.4 kilometre irrigation networks, a 12 kilometre greenbelt and 64 electricity substations.

The project is fulfilled as part of Abu Dhabi Plan, aiming to improve the quality of delivered services and establish sound infrastructure that supports the local economy and enhances the comprehensive and sustainable economic development of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
