Pakistani Biryani makes way to Indian election campaign

Taking a dig at Modi, the Congress secretary general said that Modi had gone to Pakistan in 2015 to eat biryani.

Islamabad (Pakistan Point News – 30th March, 2019) Pakistan’s famous Biryani has made its way to Indian election campaign as Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for coming to Pakistan in 2015 to have ‘biryani’.

Taking a dig at Modi, the Congress secretary general said that Modi had gone to Pakistan in 2015 to eat biryani.

"He had gone to Pakistan to eat biryani," she said, referring to PM Modi's surprise visit to Pakistan in December 2015 to meet Nawaz Sharif.

She further said that Modi goes to foreign lands and hugs the people there but he does not hug the poor in India.

Accusing the BJP of diverting attention from the real issues, she said they talk of "Mai Bhi Chowkidaar", but now the farmers are compelled to save their produce by acting as watchmen.

"They are insulting you. They want to divert your attention. The BJP wants to ensure that whatever lie they say should be shown as a full package and people get diverted," she said.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made a surprise visit to Pakistan in December 2015 to attend the wedding of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s grand daughter.
