Abid Ali makes century in debut match

The right-hand batsman is third Pakistani player after Imamul Haq and Salim Elahi who made 100 in first ODI.

LAHORE-(Pakistan Point News- 29th March 2019) Abid Ali is the third Pakistani batsman who made the century in his first international ODI.

Similarly, the top order right-hand bat is the 15th international player to complete debut 100 in ODI cricket.

Abid was given opportunity in the fourth ODI against Australia as Imam was feeling sick and was unable to play the game. Abid appeared opener with Shan Masood who went back to pavilion at duck and played a solid inning.

He made 112 scores off 119 balls with the help of nine boundaries at the average of 94.11. He was caught out by Finch at Zampa delivery.

Earlier, Australia playing first set a target of 278 runs for Pakistan playing at Dubai’s cricket stadium. Pakistan has already lost three matches and also the five-match ODI home series against the Aussies.
