Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid will arrive in Moscow on April 18 to attend the opening of the renovated Estonian embassy building in the Russian capital, the presidential office said in a statement on Thursday

TALLINN (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 28th March, 2019) Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid will arrive in Moscow on April 18 to attend the opening of the renovated Estonian embassy building in the Russian capital, the presidential office said in a statement on Thursday.

According to Kaljulaid's foreign policy adviser, Lauri Kuusing, the Russian Foreign Ministry has been informed about the Estonian president's visit in April but no bilateral meetings have been agreed upon so far.

"Moscow hosts the first historic foreign representation of our state and one of the most important bilateral embassies. This is the forefront of our diplomacy," Kuusing was quoted as saying in the statement.

The Estonian Embassy is located in the historic center of Moscow close to the Kremlin. Estonia appointed its first ambassador to Moscow in February 1921.
