LANGKAWI (Malaysia) (Pakistan Point news / Sputnik - 27th March, 2019) Russia may start its initial deliveries of Ansat light, multipurpose helicopters to China by the end of this year, Russian Helicopters Deputy CEO Igor Chechikov told Sputnik on Wednesday.
"Deliveries of first Ansat [helicopters] to China, under a signed contract, depend on the validation of its certificate in this country. If everything goes as planned, the first rotorcraft could be delivered by the end of this year," Chechikov said at the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (LIMA-2019).
He stressed the Russian Helicopters company offered different types of services for the delivered helicopters, including subscription service.
Earlier this year, Russia signed a contract for the delivery of 20 Ansat Helicopters to China. The sides are also discussing the deliveries of six Mi-171A2 advanced medium multirole helicopters.
