Islamabad (Pakistan Point News / Online - 25th March, 2019) Another scam of corruption of former minister Khawaja Saad Rafiq has come to fore in awarding contract of computerization of railways land record.Saad Rafiq as a railway minister had awarded over Rs 424.7 million contract of computerizing land record of railway to a private company Urban SECTOR Unit secretly and against the rules while its record has been obtained by NAB.The company belongs to Lahore and Khawaja Saad Rafiq has close relations with the owner of this company.

During the previous regime this company was awarded contract for computerizing and preserving railways land record at the rate of Rs 402.8 million. The company had initially demanded Rs 560 million but later the matter was decided at the rate of over 420 million.Saad Rafiq had invented this pretext for awarding the contract to private company that it was a matter of sensitive nature , therefore, neither the advertisement can be given in the news papers nor application for interest can be invited from other companies.

On this ground railway authorities had awarded contract to private company at the rate of over 424.7 million rupees in defiance of rules and regulations. This way heavy loss has been inflicted on national kitty. This scandal is being concealed from Sheikh Rashid as well. The senior officials of the ministry are involved in this scandal and they are still holding their respective key posts.Sultan Sikandar Raja secretary ministry of Railways is also silent in this matter and he is trying to shelve this scandal rather than giving any reply.
