DUBAI, (Pakistan Point News - 25th Mar, 2019) Dubai Cares, part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, announced today a key milestone in its longstanding relationship with dnata. Since 2014, dnata’s Dubai office has been a very proactive and committed donour by supporting the "Adopt a School" initiative and contributing to the adoption of a total of 8 schools in Malawi, Senegal, Nepal and Cambodia.

Emboldened by the success of its annual contributions to Dubai Cares, dnata is taking the partnership to a new high by embedding its fundraising efforts within its internal corporate activities, enabling its staff and clients to demonstrate their continuous generosity and support throughout the year. Funds that are raised through internal office activities and collected via donation boxes placed within dnata’s premises, as well as via wire transfer, will be allocated to at least one or more schools as part of the "Adopt a School" initiative .

Commenting on the inspiring move by dnata, Abdulla Ahmed Al Shehhi, Chief Operating Officer at Dubai Cares, said, "dnata has been a very committed and generous donour to our initiative over the past 5 years, and we are extremely grateful for their continuous support and dedication. Given the magnitude of dnata’s operations, we have no doubt that this strategic shift will be fruitful and boost our initiatives with our partners even further. We always value the support from large successful corporations such as dnata, and we hope this sets an example that will inspire many more corporates."

Gary Chapman, President of dnata, said, "It is now five years since we launched dnata4good, our global corporate social responsibility programme, to make a positive difference to the lives of others through employee engagement and community involvement. Since then, thousands of our colleagues have supported the programme’s charity partners through fund-raising, donations and even front-line volunteering. With education being one of our focus areas, we are particularly proud to have significantly contributed to the success of Dubai Cares’ Adopt a school initiative. We look forward to continuing our partnership and stay committed to helping children receive quality education all over the world."
