PM Should Give Up Seeking Cheap Publicity: Murtaza Wahab

KARACHI (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 24th March, 2019) Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information & Archives, Law and Anti-Corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday in a statement said that Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah had taken notice of the abduction of the missing Hindu girls far before the Prime Minister tweeted on the issue.Barrister Murtaza Wahab said following the notice taken by the Chief Minister a Police team of Sindh Police was in Rahim Yar Khan conducting raids for the arrests of the culprits involved in the incident.

The Adviser said that if truthfully the Prime Minister was taking this issue seriously then he should have first amended the laws encompassing the issues related to the childhood marriage. While censuring the Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry, the Adviser said that, he should have kept himself away from politicizing this serious issue.The Adviser said that the Sindh government would bring the culprits to book in accordance with the Child Marriage Act.

He said that the Prime Minister should look into the ground realities of the issues instead of simply tweeting on them. Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf was confined to take notices on twitter only.The Adviser elucidated that people belonging to every religion were independent to practice their morals freely in Sindh. The Adviser said that the Prime Minister tried to acquire cheap publicity by tweeting on the issue. NNI
