WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 23rd March, 2019) Former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort will serve his prison sentence in the Maryland city of Cumberland, a court document revealed.
On March 13, a district judge in Washington, DC sentenced Manafort to three and a half years in prison for conspiracy against the United States and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
"That the defendant be designated to serve his sentence consistent with the recommendation of the US (District Court) for ED VA at the Federal Prison Camp in Cumberland, MD," the document said on Friday.
Judge Amy Berman Jackson said that 30 months of her 73-month sentence to Manafort will run concurrently with the sentence in his Virginia case.
Earlier in March, Manafort was sentenced to almost four years in jail in the US state of Virginia over bank and tax fraud related to his work in Ukraine.
