MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) Ukraine's Security Service, a state law enforcement agency, has foiled nearly 300 terror plots in the country over past five years, President Petro Poroshenko said on Friday."The Security Service of Ukraine has every right to be proud of its achievements in the past five years of war... They thwarted almost 300 terror acts that sought to spread panic and discontent," he said at a televised event.
The president lauded the agency for its help in bringing espionage and high treason charges against 341 people and recovering over 8,000 illegal guns, 960,000 explosive devices and ammunition, and 10 tonnes of explosive over the same period.
