ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 21st March, 2019) Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced that its regular admissions, semester 2019 will be closed on Friday (March 22) and there will no further extension of the date.The University will be receiving the admission forms with double date fee, as March 22 was an extended date. As per the admission's schedule, the forms were received till March 5 without late fee and till March 15 with single late fee.
According to Director Admissions, the double late fee for SSC program is now Rs.200/, FA/BA Rs.400 while B.Ed. and all the postgraduate programs Rs.1000/-The facility was provided by the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Zia-Ul-Qayyum, in order to accommodate the interested students, particularly those from the country's remote regions.The University is providing free education up-to Matric-level to the students of Baluchistan and tribal areas, besides fee-waiver to marginalized sections of the society, including prisoners, disabled and transgender groups.It also provide nine scholarship schemes to accommodate those students, who otherwise cannot carry on their future study due to financial constraints, as the University acts under its policy, ensuring education to ALL.
