US Defense Agency Seeks Software to Track Threats in Congested Airspace - BAE Systems

A contract awarded by the US Defense Advanced Research Products Agency (DARPA) is seeking to advance development of autonomous software that can help humans plan missions in congested airspace, the defense contractor BAE Systems announced in a press release on Wednesday

WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 20th March, 2019) A contract awarded by the US Defense Advanced Research Products Agency (DARPA) is seeking to advance development of autonomous software that can help humans plan missions in congested airspace, the defense contractor BAE Systems announced in a press release on Wednesday.

"The program, called Resilient Synchronized Planning and Assessment for the Contested Environment (RSPACE), seeks to develop human-centered software decision aids that can assist air operators to better control daily operations in a complex battlespace," the release stated.

DARPA awarded BAE what it refers to as a Phase 3 contract worth $3.1 million to continue developing the software, the release said.
