ABU DHABI, (Pakistan Point News - 20th Mar, 2019) Noura Al Suwaidi, Director of the General Women's Union, GWU, stressed that mothers are an inexhaustible source of giving and values.
In a speech marking Mother's Day, Al Suwaidi said, "On this great occasion, we salute the role model of the nation, H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the ‘Mother of the UAE,’ who has always supported Emirati mothers."
She added that Sheikha Fatima is the leader of women's action in the UAE and the role model of Emirati mothers while expressing her pride and appreciation for Sheikha Fatima’s overall efforts to support Emirati women.
Al Suwaidi went on to say that Sheikha Fatima’s leading role reflects the overall vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, not only on a national level but also regionally and internationally.
Sheikha Fatima is also supporting the directives of the wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, to make Emirati women and mothers models to follow of achieving social development, reinforcing the UAE’s stature, and preserving its achievements, Al Suwaidi continued.
