"The IDF force responded with fire toward the vehicle. At the same time an IDF engineering vehicle hit the car, as a result the two attackers inside the vehicle were killed," the press release read as quoted by the Times of Israel newspaper.
IDF added there were no casualties among the IDF forces or the worshipers.
The incident took place several hours after the Israeli forces had killed a Palestinian suspected of carrying out a deadly attack in the West Bank on Sunday, which left two Israelis killed.
