ISLAMABAD (Pakistan Point News / NNI - 18th March, 2019) Islamabad Police on Monday arrested 24 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered snatched valuables, hashish, wine and weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said.Following directions of DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed, police teams arrested 24 outlaws from various area of the city. Koral police arrested five accused Tabassum, Danish, Imran, Yaqoob, Younas and Tayyab involved in pigeon racing.
Sihala police arrested Imran involved in flying kites. Secretariat police also arrested Arshad for flying kites while Zeeshan and Siddique were held for having 230 gram hashish and one 30 bore pistol respectively.Bhara Kahu police arrested Jehnzaib, Kamran, Najeeb Ameen and Jabran and recovered one 30 bore pistol, two bottle wine and 11 cans of beer from their possession.The homicide police united of Islamabad arrested accused Bilal for providing sanctuary to a proclaimed offender while Karachi Company police arrested Adil Masih and recovered six wine bottle from him.
Golra police arrested Barkat and recovered one 9mm pistols along with ammunition from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested Naseeb, Hikmat and Sohail besides recovering snatched mobile phone from their possession.Shahzad Town police arrested Baddar Mehmood and recovered 130 gram hashish from him. Khanna police arrested Kamran Shahzad and recovered 165 gram hashish from him while Khuram Shahzad , Razzaq and Ishfaq for keeping cattle in the prohibited areas.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further Investigation is underway from them.DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has directed all Station House Officers for effective crackdown against that involvement in drug peddling activities. He asked for renewed efforts to curb such practices and get rid of society from such menace.He said that Performance in this regard would be reviewed on continuous basis. He also directed for strict action against those involved in selling or flying kites, aerial firing and pigeon racing activities.The DIG also categorically asked all police officials to focus on resolving the public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens.
