MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 15th March, 2019) Russia's Gazprombank will hand over its shares of the sanctioned Evrofinance Mosnarbank to the Russian Federal Agency for State Property Management, a spokesman for Gazprombank told Sputnik Friday.
On Thursday, the same plans were announced by VTB Bank's chief Andrei Kostin. Gazprombank and VTB own 25 percent plus one share of the sanctioned bank each.
"We confirm the intention to transfer the stock to the [State Property Management Agency]," Anton Trifonov said.
The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department said Monday it was sanctioning the Moscow-based Evrofinance Mosnarbank over alleged assistance to Venezuela's state-owned oil company PDVSA.
