VIENNA (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 14th March, 2019) Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said she had held negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin during her recent visit to Moscow, local media have reported.
The top diplomat said that her meeting with Putin was held on Tuesday and took 1.5 hours, according to the Kleine Zeitung newspaper.
"It was an overview of the political situation in the world. Just a good conversation," Kneissl told reporters in Austria, as quoted by the outlet.
Kneissl visited Moscow earlier this week. During the trip, the diplomat held talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, who characterized the meeting as "fruitful." Moreover, Lavrov and his Austrian counterpart signed a statement on the establishment of the Sochi Dialogue forum aimed at advancing civil society dialogue between the two states.
