Hajj Scheme 2019: Government announces names of successful applicants

All names of successful applicants would be uploaded on the ministry’s website in the next two hours.

LAHORE- (Pakistan Point News- 12th March 2019) The government has completed the balloting for applications for Hajj Scheme 2019 and announced the Names of over 107,000 successful applicants from the total quota of 184,000.

Religious Affairs Minister Noorul Haq Qadri opened computerized balloting for Hajj. He said all names of successful candidates would be uploaded on the ministry’s website in the next two hours.

The citizens of age above 80 and those who could not qualify during the last three years were declared successful without balloting.

The government, according to the ministry, had received 2,000 applications of applicants aged 80 to 90 years. Two assistants each would be sent with elderly woman pilgrims.

This year, according to minister, the government received 216623 applications, 123,700 male and 92,923 female.

The number of applications from Punjab was 108,006, Sindh 49,343, KP 40,752 and Balochistan 10,258, Azad Kashmir, 2,316, Tribal area 4,314 and GB 2,422.

This year, 184,210 Pakistanis will perform Hajj of which 107,526 will perform the annual pilgrimage under the government scheme and 71,684 will under private schemes.

Pilgrims have to pay Rs 436,975 and Rs19, 451 as optional charges for sacrificial animals.
