The Central Election Commission of Ukraine said on Friday that it endorsed the ballot paper for the upcoming presidential election, which will contain 39 candidates for the country's highest office

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 08th March, 2019) The Central Election Commission of Ukraine said on Friday that it endorsed the ballot paper for the upcoming presidential election, which will contain 39 candidates for the country's highest office.

"As the registration of five candidates for Ukrainian presidency has been canceled, the ballot paper on the election day will contain the Names of 39 candidates and information about them," the commission wrote on Facebook.

The commission said that it endorsed the form and the text of the ballot paper.

The presidential election in Ukraine is scheduled for March 31. According to a recent poll, comedian Volodymyr Zelenskiy remains the front-runner with by 20.3 percent of support, while being followed by ex-Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and incumbent Petro Poroshenko, who are projected to win 13.9 and 13.1 percent respectively.
