Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance, stated that National Sports Day, which coincides with the Year of Tolerance announced by the UAE’s wise leadership, highlights the spirit of tolerance and fraternity of the country’s citizens and residents, and this spirit is reflected by the humanitarian message carried by sports and sporting activities, which focusses on people and their values, away from their language, race and social stature.
"Today, through the organisation of the 4th National Sports Day, which is being supported by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, under the theme, ‘UAE Unites Us,’ all employees and members of the Ministry of Finance are participating, with their community, in this sporting and humanitarian activity, to affirm that the UAE is everyone’s home and the meeting point of cultures and civilisations," Sheikh Hamdan added.
