MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th March, 2019) Russia increased its exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) twofold in January to 5.4 million cubic meters (190.7 million cubic feet) year-on-year, the Federal Customs Service (FCS) said on Thursday.
Russian exports of natural gas fell by 10 percent to 18.3 billion cubic meters over the same period, the FCS added.
Russia's revenues from LNG exports also doubled, reaching $750.8 million, while proceeds from natural gas exports during the given period rose by 10.1 percent to $4.46 billion.
In 2018, Russia exported 220.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas, earning $49.1 billion in revenue, while LNG exports totaled 36.7 million cubic meters worth $5.3 billion.
