WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th March, 2019) US President Donald Trump thanked United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Muhammad bin Zayid during a phone call for the UAE's help in recovering US citizen Danny Burch from captivity in Yemen, the White House said in a press release on Wednesday.
"Today the President spoke with United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Muhammad bin Zayid," the release said. "During the call the President thanked the Crown Prince for the UAE's support in recovering United States citizen Danny Burch from captivity in Yemen and reuniting him with his family."
Both leaders also discussed regional security issues and efforts to promote stability in the middle East region, the release added.
Burch, an engineer for an oil company in Yemen, was kidnapped in the country's capital of Sanaa. Burch, born in Louisiana, had been living in Yemen for years and was working for the state-owned company Safer after marrying a Yemeni woman and converting to islam.
