WASHINGTON (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 07th March, 2019) Two US citizens have been detained in the southern Russian port city of Novorossiysk, the Department of State said in a statement on Wednesday.
"We can confirm two US citizens were detained in Novorossiysk, Russia," the statement said as quoted by CNN. "Due to privacy considerations, we do not have any additional information at this time."
According to the media outlet, the detained Americans are Mormon Church volunteers, who were detained at a local meeting house on Friday evening.
