The City government has banned the commuting of motorcycle rickshaw at Lahore’s main routes
LAHORE (Pakistan Point News - 06th March, 2019) The City government has banned the commuting of motorcycle rickshaw at Lahore’s main routes. The three-wheeler’s operation at city roads was stopped following the Lahore High Court’s order. According to Lahore Traffic Police, the ban was placed on the operation of motorcycle rickshaws at Mall Road, Jail Road, Ferozpur Road, Canal Road, and Lahore Cantt areas. As per Lahore Transport Company, more than 85,000 motorcycle rickshaw known as Qingqis ply at Lahore’s different routes. Traffic Police said these rickshaws were now not allowed to operate on all main arteries of the provincial capital. They were however allowed to operate from Dharmpura to Jallu Mor.
