NATO foreign ministers will gather in Washington, D.C. next month for a series of events marking 70 years since the creation of the military alliance
BRUSSELS (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th March, 2019) NATO foreign ministers will gather in Washington, D.C. next month for a series of events marking 70 years since the creation of the military alliance."Ministers of Foreign Affairs will attend events and hold meetings in Washington DC, United States of America, on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 April 2019," the alliance said in a press release.
The ministerial meetings will be held under the chairmanship of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, while US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo will play host.
Limited press opportunities are expected, including an evening ceremony and a photo opportunity on April 3 and opening remarks at ministerial plenary sessions on April 4 at the Harry Truman Building. Stoltenberg is expected to hold a closing press conference.
