Iran Tells EU About Concerns Over Imbalance In JCPOA Implementation - Russian Envoy

MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th March, 2019) Iran has told the EU partners at the session of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) commission about its concerns over the imbalance between the signatories implementing their obligations under the deal, Russia's Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov said Wednesday.

The commission meeting was held on Wednesday in Vienna.

"The Iranians constantly say that the balance of the JCPOA implementation is upset," the envoy said.

Ulyanov clarified that Tehran was supposed to get economic benefits as a signatory to the deal, but after the United States exited from the agreement, many businesses started leaving the Iranian market for fear of economic blackmail.

"There are no complaints to [Russia] from Iran. We work quite successfully, fulfill our obligations," the envoy added.
