MOSCOW (Pakistan Point News / Sputnik - 06th March, 2019) The Russian Economic Development Ministry sees no reason to adjust its inflation forecast for 2019, which is 4.3 percent, and expects the slowdown in inflation below 4 percent in January 2020, Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said on Wednesday.
"In general, the situation with inflation at the beginning of the year is better than expected ... We see no reasons to change our forecast. By the end of this year, we expect a slowdown in inflationary dynamics to 4.3 percent. And a slowdown below 4 percent next January," Oreshkin said, speaking at the Russian lower house.
